Established in 2002, Liverpool Community Spirit's Youth Council is the UK's first grass-roots interfaith youth group and is made up of young people aged 16-25 from diverse faith and cultural communities across Merseyside.
The Youth Council meets once a fortnight at the Liverpool Community Spirit Office in Liverpool City Centre to participate in inter-faith and inter-cultural projects. Members have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn new skills (IT, training, interview techniques, radio presenting, team work, workshop delivery, design and many more) and participate in festivals and cultural activities across Liverpool and the North West. Please see the photos below for a flavour of what Youth Council has been up to recently.
The Youth Council worked on a project called Liverpool's Footsteps of Faith and created a smartphone app. Click here for more info and to download the app for free.
Youth Council put together plans for 'Simply Faith', an exciting art competition which ran in 2016 in schools and community venues across Merseyside.
